YOUR CHOICE?????

Could you count the number of choices you have? Think about it, how many choices do you have today? When you look into your closet do you have a choice of, pants?, shirts?, shoes?, dress?, belts?  How many outfits are different, and how many are alike? How about when you go to the kitchen? Do you have a choice of breakfast food? cereal, or fruit? Maybe you would rather choose a McD's sausage biscuit? How about how you will get some news this morning? internet?  TV?  newspaper?  radio? water cooler gossip? The average person in the USA has hundreds of choices every day.

Let's compare that with people who live in a village in a third world country. They don't have a closet in their home.  They wear the same clothes almost every day. Maybe they have one more shirt or dress, but not today, it is just an average day. They do not have a kitchen, so goes to the pot in the yard where she has corn papa boiling in the pot. If they do not like this they can choose to go hungry. Oh, maybe they’ll have a choice of maybe a few herbs to flavor it some, but he only has a little left.  Maybe they’ll save it for tonight. How will they get some news? Maybe if someone comes from the city he will hear something about the outside world.

The man in the third world country has few choices and the man in USA has many. Both men are loved by God.

I have meet men and women whose lives are like this....only a few choices each day. If you go to meet men and women in third world and see the way much of the world lives outside of the USA it will change your perspective on many things. One of the biggest is how many choices we have every day.

Another big choice is this......

The question is will you serve the Lord today or will you serve yourself? Are you willing to say, "Lord what should I be doing today in order to do the Kingdom work you would have me do." So often in our world of thousands of choices serving the Lord is left until later. Not that we want to forget God, or His work, it is just that we think " I’m busy right now with ME stuff.... you know..... making the choices that are important to me." I will do the work of God later.

But now think about this, does the person in a third world country have a choice about what to believe about God? You do. But do they???

Romans 10:14-15

14 But how can they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe without hearing about Him? And how can they hear without a preacher? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent?

It is our responsibility to make sure the world gets the opportunity to decide for themselves about who Jesus is!!!

It is your responsibility to help in this cause!!!

You do have a choice you know!!!.

God bless,

Sam & Elaine

Dear Friends and family,

This Easter morning, Elaine and I give thanks for God’s incredible love for us. With those three joyful words—“He is risen!”—we celebrate the greatest miracle of all.

On this Easter day, we hope you’ll also reflect on the precious miracles you’ve shared with the sick, the hungry, the orphaned, and the impoverished. With every life you change, you are living your faith in the most powerful way possible.

Thank you for sharing your love with the vulnerable and the afraid. Because of you, they are rising up against impossible circumstances and living new lives full of hope.

May God bless you and your family, and fill your hearts with joy this Easter, remember JESUS IS ALIVE!!!

GOD BLESS,

Sam and Elaine

JESUS!!!! Something to Shout About

JESUS!!!! Something to Shout About

Shout for joy. Psalm 33:3 (NIV)

I love sports, not so much a fan of football, baseball or basketball but a big fan of NASCAR. I've gone to many races over the years, and every time I go there are thousands of fans dressed up and painted up in their favorite driver’s team colors, shouting at the top of their lungs every time he passes another car. When he wins, what a noise! Everyone is screaming!

Then we as followers of Jesus come into church we acknowledge Jesus as our Savior, we confess how He has secured for us a place in heaven (which the Bible describes as a place where there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain) and we're completely quiet. The silence is only broken with a brief head nod and a quick "Amen" under our breath.

May it never be so! May we find ourselves so amazed and in awe of our Savior that we shout our praise, cry "Hallelujah and Amen," and in every way surpass the enthusiasm found at a football stadium, baseball field, basketball court or a race track!

During Jesus' triumphal entry, the Gospel of Luke says the disciples were praising God "in loud voices." The Pharisees told Jesus to rebuke His disciples, but instead He responded: "I tell you, if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out" (Luke 19:40).

Lets’ not let the stones and the sports fans do all the shouting, Go to church and shout for joy in the Lord—yes, I say SHOUT FOR THE LORD ALL YE PEOPLE SHOUT TO THE TOP OF OUR LUNGS, FOR HE IS GOOD!

As Easter is getting near lets’ not forget that Jesus died on the Old Rugged Cross for our sins to be forgiven and washed away forever so we can have eternal life, WOW how exciting!. Now that’s something to SHOUT about; HALLELUJAH

FEBRUARY 3 2011
HAITI MISSION TRIP March22nd – 31st.

Elaineand I will be going back to Haiti in March to tie up loose ends on the startingof the church in Marigot. We’re praying that after this trip we’ll soon be ableto start taking teams to start building the much needed church building. Thisgroup of App. 100 believers has been meeting under a tarp for 6 years. Most of the foundation has been started forseveral years. God has placed this project on our hearts and we must obey. Godsays in; 1 Chronicles 28:10 "Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you tobuild a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it."

Firstand foremost we ask for your prayers, then to pray about supporting us with adonation so we can do what we feel God has called us to do. As most of you knowfuel cost has gone out the roof so airline tickets has almost doubled in thelast year. We need around $1500.00 for this mission. You can donate by going toour web site at www.globaloutreachmissions.com and going to the donate page and click on (donate) or you can send a checkto Bethel Global Ministries  and mail itto P O Box 85 Rydal, Ga. 30171.

YourPrayers and support are greatly appreciated.

Looking back on 2010

As we reflect on the experiences and events of 2010, what is it you remember most? What successes milestones or memories do you treasure? What you hold dear from 2010 may be something material, but most likely what’s in your heart and mind will be much more meaningful and valuable than mere possessions. The best blessings in life most of the time has nothing to do with wealth or worldly goods.

Maybe there were places you went that impacted your life in an amazing way---Places you visited that were beautiful or where you shared sweet memories with family or friends. Maybe there were special moments you’ll always remember---a wedding, birth of a child, graduation, a particular accomplishment, or some other occasion that transformed your life. Also as you looked back this past year, I’m sure there times you experienced with God in prayer and worship that you recall with joy.

Our God loves to fill our lives with those special glimpses His care, power and presence. He does this so we can have the treasures of hope and faith to cling to when difficulties comes our way. We can look at these times and think of how faithful God is to bless, lead and teach us. You can see this in the life of King David, who wrote, “Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of Your majesty and on Your wonderful works, I will meditate.” Ps. 145:3-5.

As you look back at 2010 what are some treasures you can think of that will encourage you when you feel downcast or trials that require faith or courage.

Think about the special times you grew in your relationship with the Lord, learning more about His loving ways He works in your life. These may the result your quite times in Bible study and prayer, but there are many ways the Father may reveal Himself to you.

God has allowed me to travel several places this year; one of the places was the mountains of Haiti, as I looked over the wonderful land I was overwhelmed by the sense of God’s awesome presence and power. It was a moment that I will always remember. The thought came to me, GOD, don’t ever let me forget this. You created all this and I cannot even begin to imagine the wonderful things You can do in the lives of Your children.

Think of some Scripture verses that has in a powerful way the Lord has encouraged you. In your seeking God, He’s most likely been speaking to you through HIS WORD, and there are most likely some very special passages that you have come to love. One of my favorites is Proverbs 3:5-6, which says,   “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. 6In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Anytime I’m to make a decision or face a burden I can’t understand, I’ll say this verse. The principle in this passage always keeps me in the right direction.

2010 has been a very challenging year for many people spiritually, emotionally, and even economically. For some, the difficulties helped them break free from sinful habits. For others, their faith grew greatly because they had no other choice but to trust in God---and He proved O so faithful.

So what did God teach you in 2010? How did you grow in your relationship with Him? So write down some of the priceless blessings God has given you, put your list in a place where you can find it. Then, whenever you feel discouraged dig it out read what you’ve written. Think about the awesome things God has done in your life. Meditate on them and place them in your heart again. God has worked so powerfully in the past, and He will surely do it again. Trust in Him and learn from all He showed you in 2010, because that will help 2011 a great and joyful year.

Elaine and I praise God for all your faithful prayers, gifts, and support, without them we could not do God’s work. We have great hope for all God will do in and through us in 2011, revealing Himself to us in greater ways, working powerfully through our partnership to lead people worldwide in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our prayer is that God will bless you greatly in 2011 as you walk with Him.

  Something to Shout About

Shout for joy. Psalm 33:3

I'm a huge fan of NASCAR as most of you know. My Dad raced go-carts and cars when I was a mere child. I was practically raised on the race tracks. I've gone to many races over the years, and every time I go there's countless fans dressed up in their favorite team colors, shouting at the top of their lungs every time their favorite driver races by.

Then we come into church. We acknowledge Jesus as our Savior, we confess how He has secured for us a place in heaven (which the Bible describes as a place where there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain) and we're completely quiet. The silence is only broken with a brief head nod and a quick "Amen" under our breath.

May it never be so! May we find ourselves so amazed and in awe of our Savior that we shout our praise, cry "Hallelujah and Amen," and in every way surpass the enthusiasm found at a race track!

During Jesus' triumphal entry, the Gospel of Luke says the disciples were praising God "in loud voices." The Pharisees told Jesus to rebuke His disciples, but instead He responded: "I tell you, if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out" (Luke 19:40).

Don't let the stones and the NASCAR fans do all the shouting. Shout for joy in the Lord—yes, even at a NASCAR race!
